Oregon Scientific BA900H Crystal Weather Station is sleekly designed in a crystal block with a midnight black base unit. The Crystal Weather Station adopts non-traditional material and method to display forecasted weather. Instead of using symbols or line drawings in two dimensions to illustrate the weather on an LCD display, weather icons (sun, cloud and rain) are laser engraved in three dimensions inside the crystalline block with detail and texture.
The BA900H is the world’s first weather station with exquisitely crafted crystal showing the weather by projecting light in different colors from a separate base unit. The weather status is indicated by red for sunny, blue for cloudy and green for rainy, and can be seen with just a glance even from a far distance. On the base, time and indoor temperature is shown on an easy-to-read animated display. There’s no need to fuss with buttons – switch between time and indoor temperature with just a hand-wave, thanks to infra-red motion sensors.
