Kaito KA888 Explorer AM/FM/SW Emergency Radio with Flashlight at $29.95, combines a sensitive compass, thermometer, siren, clock with alarm and the ever important flashlight. The compass dial needle is built in luminescent material and glows in the dark.
This emergency radio operates on four power sources. The hand crank generator charges the internal NI-MH Batteries. Solar power allows you to charge your radio in direct sunlight. Twelve hours in the sun yields 6-8 hours of play.
KA888 will run on 3 AA batteries (not included). With the included adapter, 6 hours of charging equals 48 hours of play.
A bonus hidden compartment in the base of the radio allows you to hide keys, money or other small items of value.
